Provides support for safely and effectively performing a range of laboratory and field activities. Provides labs with effective liability management. Bring about and maintain full compliance with applicable rules regarding laboratory safety while simultaneously improving or maintaining existing research efficiency and laboratory teaching effectiveness. Train an d supervise undergraduate assistants, graduate students, post-doctoral scholars and laboratory users in safe conduct. Maintain and manage the shared instruments & equipment in the laboratory. Serve as one of two safety coordinators for department, acting as liaison between the department, the College of Engineering, and other campus entities.
